Our Statements of Faith...
The Heavenly Father:
We believe God, the Father is Creator and Supreme being of all the universe (Genesis 1). He is holy, just, righteous.
Jesus Christ:
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was born of a virgin as foretold in prophesies of the old testament (Isaiah 7:14 & 9:6). He came to show us the Father ( John 10:30, 14:7,9,21,23), and how to live. He came to die on the cross: shedding of His blood for forgiveness of our sins; was buried and rose on the third day (Luke 24:46-47). His resurrection was a sign that God the Father accepted His son’s death for us. We now have freedom from the bonds of sin.
We believe that when Jesus ascended he in turned sent the Holy Spirit as a comforter, teacher and will empower us to walk and live out God’s word in our lives. (Scriptures: John 14:26, 16:7-15; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:5,8)
The Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to live the Christian life, move in the gifts of the Spirit, and helps us produce the fruit of the spirit in our lives ( love, peace, joy, self control...) [ Scriptures: John 16:7-15; Gal 5:22-23; 1 Cor. 12 & 14, Rom. 12 and Eph. 4:11-12]
Trinity:
We believe in trinity - One God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. [ Scriptures: Luke 3:21 -22; Mark 1:9-11; Matthew. 28:19 and Ephesians. 4:4-6]
The Word of God:
All scripture is the infallible word of God. It is used for teaching, encouraging, correction and for training in righteousness that the man of God may be adequate, and equipped for every good work. [2 Timothy 3:16-17]
Sin
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. [Romans 3:23]
Satan
We believe Satan is a fallen angel that tempted Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden with the fruit of (1) lust of the eyes = pleasing to the eye, (2) lust of the flesh = make one wise, (3) pride of life = be like God (Genesis 3; 1 John 2:16). This caused the fall of all mankind and when sin entered into the world. Once sin entered the world we became separated from God. Therefore, needing a Savior to bring us into restored relationship with God. Jesus rendered Satan powerless (Luke 10:17-20 and Revelations 12:7-9). Satan is referred to as a liar, thief, destroyer and murder. (John 8:44)
Judgment:
Christ sits at the judgment seat. He will judge all mankind on their works and beliefs. There will come a day when all non-believers will be judged and sentenced to the lake of fire for all eternity. [ Scriptures: Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 24; 1 Corinthians 4:5 and Revelations 19:11-16]
Heaven
Heaven is where God’s throne resides (Isaiah 66:1; Mark 16:19; Luke 16:22-31). All believers go to heaven when they die to be present with the Lord. When Christ ascended to heaven, He sat on the right hand of God the Father. He went to prepare a place for each believer (John 14:2)
Hell
Hell is a place of torment and fire. This place was designed for Satan, the fallen angels and all non-believers. They will be here for eternity and separated from God.
[ Scriptures: Luke 16:22-31; Isaiah 33:14; Mark 9:43; 2 Peter 2:4]
Hope
Christ’s return and reign on earth. [ Scriptures: Matthew 24:27,29-31; 1 Thess. 4:13-18]
Baptism
We believe in water baptism is to be done in response to repentance of sins. We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. [ Scriptures: Matthew 3:11,16-17; Luke 3:16, Acts 2:38, 8:15-17, 11:16]
How to become a believer, you must recognize:
(1.) That all have sinned (including you) and have fallen short of the glory of God. (Rom. 3:23)
(2.) That we need to be forgiven of our sin to be restored in relationship with God. (Rom. 6:23 & 10:9-10)
(3.) Jesus is the Savior that came to set us free from the bondage of sin. (John 3:16)
(4.) The believers life should demonstrate a changed life by putting away the old ways and becoming like new person. (2 Corinthians. 5:17)
The Bible says: " whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans10:13).
To receive the salvation, I invite you to pray this simple prayer:
" Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Jesus, the promised Messiah, to die for my sins. I admit that I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness on the basis of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit to empower me to do good works for your glory under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Amen."
If you prayed that prayer in the humble sincerity of your heart then you have received eternal life, which includes power to live right in this life and an entrance into heaven in the afterlife! I encourage you to be in a true worshipping Bible believing church this Sunday. May the Lord bless you!
